Analysis: Amir Khan basically forfeited his two World Titles by persistently fouling. The two points deductions were totally justified (no matter what Khan will have you believe). He was lucky he wasn't deducted more points. He was warned several times during the fight, but kept on with his dirty tactics that ultimately cost him his titles, as he would have won a unanimous decision had he not had the points deducted. Khan's post fight interview was absolutely shocking and made him sound like a petulant child.

That said, I'd love to see a rematch, as it really was a great fight. Khan came out like a train, and looked like he was going to finish the fight quickly. Massive respect to Lamont Peterson who came back in a way that no-one expected and turned the fight into something that he was comfortable with. Khan will come back from this, but he has to cut out the fouls.
